How it WorksPlay-Based Basketball Classes Brought Directly to Participating Preschools Throughout Centre County
Hoop Stars partners with select preschool programs throughout Centre County to offer private basketball classes during the school day, exclusively for enrolled students. Classes are held right at the preschool, in a familiar setting where young children feel comfortable and ready to learn.
Each class follows the same play-based curriculum offered in Hoop Stars public preschool classes, introducing children ages 3 to 5 to beginner basketball skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, and defense through age-appropriate drills designed to build coordination, motor skills, and confidence. Good sportsmanship and team concepts are woven into every session, so children are learning more than basketball from the very start.
Private preschool classes are available exclusively to children enrolled in participating Centre County preschool programs. After completing the preschool program, players are encouraged to continue their development in Hoop Stars public preschool and K-2 classes, open to all families in the area.
